Jonathan Flike is a writer, artist, and starving student. His poems have appeared in Viewpoints, Emerge Literary Journal, Wilde Magazine, and other literary journals. Jonathan’s first novel Standards and Practices was published in August 2009 and his first major collection of poetry, Tales from Room 225, was published in June, 2011.
Jonathan has been a featured poet in places such as Riverside City College, Borders, and the Loft at Univeristy of California, San Diego. When not in school he can be found at the neighborhood Starbucks where he writes and reminisces about the days when it was cool to write in uber commercialized environments while sipping on five dollar coffees really slowly because they are five dollar coffees. His books have been sold at fine e-tailers and the Riverside City College bookstore.
Jonathan graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in 2004 with a degree in merchandise product development. He has also finished undergraduate degrees in the humanites, social and behavioral studies, and math and science while continuing his coursework in biochemistry.
He currently lives in San Diego, California where he attends the University of California, San Diego.
